From the mine to the berth. Halite is cut at Siwa Oasis and the Qattara Depression, crushed, screened to the tendered sieve band and, when specified, supplied at natural moisture grades of 1.0 %, 1.5 % or 2.0 %, or kiln-dried to 0.5 % or 0.3 %, to the client's specification. Every production lot is assayed at the mine-site laboratory and re-tested at the port (NaCl by ISO 2481, moisture by ISO 2483, insolubles by ISO 2479, sieve by ISO 13320 or test sieve) before the Certificate of Analysis is issued ahead of the Bill of Lading. Bulk density of 1,100–1,400 kg/m³ on lump and coarse grades loads more tonnes per hold than sea salt. Loading at El Dekheila (EGEDK), Alexandria (EGALY), Damietta (EGDAM), Ain Sokhna (EGSOK) and Gargoub; 240 MT FCL minimum or 2,000–65,000 MT vessel parcels, FOB / CFR / CIF.
